Learning-in-Community Grants Available

The Continuing Education program of the national church offers grants to those who attend continuing education events in groups of 5 or more.

Criteria for the grants are the following:

• The topic of the event must be related to equipping church leaders (clergy or lay) for ministry in the 21st century
• Candidates must attend the event in groups of at least 5 people.
• Groups must agree to meet with each other for 6 monthly meetings following the event, to discuss implementation strategies and how to bring ideas from the event back home.
• One person from the group shall be designated as "facilitator." That person will be responsible for ensuring that the 6 meetings happen, and for participating in discussions with National staff about what is being learned.

Here's a list of events for which we are currently offering grants. If the event that your group seeks to attend is not on this list, please contact Stephen Fetter at the General Council Office to discuss whether you might be eligible for this sort of grant.
