Becoming a Facilitator

Are you interested in Facilitating a Learning Circle?

 

Job Description:

 
Facilitators are expected to:
  • create a group of 5 - 12 participants who agree to meet together monthly for a specific period of time (usually 6 - 10 months)
  •  handle the administration of their group, including:
    • being responsible for local arrangements
    • sending out email reminders and follow-ups
    • ensuring that there is a group-approved agenda for each meeting
    • preparing discussion starter questions
    • keeping the group focussed on the agreed-upon task
  • participating in telephone conference calls with other facilitators in the program evern 6 - 8 weeks
  • This position receives an honorarium based on 6 - 10 hours per month, depending on the format of the group and the number hours necessary for its meeting schedule.
