Learning Circles Are …

An opportunity to connect by monthly telephone conference call with church leaders (clergy or lay) across the country.

An opportunity to step back from the day-to-day routine to reflect on ministry for the 21st century.

An opportunity for serious continuing education for ministry without even having to leave home.

Learning Circles meet monthly by toll-free telephone conference call. Each Circle meets for 1 ½ hours at a time, and contains no more than 8 people, so there’s plenty of time for everyone to get to know each other. Facilitators help to keep the conversation focussed on learning, provide some administration and email reminders between meetings, and usually suggest an article to read or some questions to think about in preparation for each meeting.

Small is Beautiful -- Exploring Ministry in Small Churches
