“Small is Beautiful: Challenges and Opportunities of Small Church Ministries”

 

When:    This Learning Circle will meet monthly by toll-free telephone conference call between February and June 2010 -- times will be set after the registration is complete, and every effort will be made to find times that are convenient for all participants

 

Cost:         $50

Details:    You are invited to join  6 - 8 colleagues for five, monthly, telephone conversations.  We will share stories, explore patterns, attend to the Spirit and be encouraged by a circle of friends who are also serving The Body of Christ in small communities of faith (less than 80 souls on Sundays).

Facilitator:     These calls will be facilitated by David Giuliano, pastor, spiritual companion, writer and immediate past Moderator of The United Church of Canada.  David has been in ministry with St. John’s United Church, in Marathon ON for almost 25 years.

UPDATE: as of 9 Feb 2010: we have three full groups for this course, and David Giuliano tells us this is as many as he personally can handle! We've contacted the Director of the Rural Ministry Program at Queen's Theological College, who has agreed to find us an additional facilitator to help with the overflow. All those who are not currently in one of the three groups will be invited to work with this new facilitator. We'll have more information about this after the registration deadline (15 Feb 2010).
